In 2014, Jorge Verdejo founded Velocita in The Woodlands, Texas, with a clear vision: bring exotic and classic car collectors together in a setting as distinctive as the automobiles themselves. Beginning at Market Street The Woodlands, the gathering created a place where remarkable cars sparked conversations and a shared passion became the foundation for lasting friendships. Limited to just 100 cars, the event established an intimate atmosphere that gave collectors room to connect, exchange stories, and appreciate the craftsmanship, history, and individuality behind every arrival. Rebranded as Saturday Motor Club in 2023, the event continues that founding tradition under the stewardship of longtime friends Jorge Verdejo, Jose Ramirez, and Abe Levitz. Today, its new home at Creekside Village Green, located at 26400 Kuykendahl Rd, The Woodlands, TX 77389, welcomes collectors on the third Saturday of every month. Participants travel from across Texas and Mexico, bringing their prized automobiles month after month and making the gathering a recurring chapter in their own motoring stories. Through its evolution, Saturday Motor Club has preserved what made Velocita special from the beginning: exceptional cars, personal connections, and the simple pleasure of sharing something extraordinary.
